What would the 100% confident version of you do?

Asking yourself this question might be a good strategy to beat self-doubt. Here's my experience using this approach!

These days, as I was going to announce on social media the launch of a new campaign about a book I wrote a decade ago, I got caught up by a sudden feeling of self-doubt.

You know, that old feeling that makes you question your actions and wonder what kind of reaction they'd cause on people. Yes, the external validation trap was knocking on my door again!

Thankfully, it didn't stay for too long because I had a quick insight that scared that trap away; I just shut down my insecure thoughts with a bold, straight-up question:

Would the "100%-confident" you doubt and scrutinize yourself like that?

"Nah," I silently replied, and then I pictured myself owning it, nailing it, believing it, and doing that sh*t!

Then I concluded: the super confident and badass version of me wouldn't doubt a thing and would just hold up her chin high while keeping her crown in place!

So my tip for you today is: when you feel self-doubt and insecurities coming up your way, just pause for a moment and ask yourself: what would the 100% confident version of you do?

Picture it as you go

As you ask yourself this, you'll naturally picture that version of you in your mind, or maybe you'll even remember a moment when you felt more confident so things went smoother. This visualization is powerful!

When you visualize yourself in the desired situation, you reaffirm to your brain that you're capable of doing this—because frankly, honey, you are!

I'm curious to know if it works for you, so if you try this approach please send me your feedback in the comments below or DM me on Instagram!

Love,

Ana Clara.
